The production facilities of the Film & Media Arts Department are ART 270. Production courses are hosted in a newly renovated, fully updated classroom capable of screening the latest digital mediums. Features include 5.1 surround sound, 80” HD TV, Crestron presentation system, and green energy LED lighting.
Upon request, students have access to the 11’ x 22’ green screen wall located in the FMAB (Film & Media Arts Building.)
Traditional animation facilities include a stand with high definition video or 16mm film cameras and a claymation studio. Computer animation is produced on Macintosh using Maya assisted with a variety of other graphic software.
The Division of Film Studies’ facility also boasts a 6000+ title video and 16mm film library for scholarly research purposes. There are also several theatres on campus that show 16mm and 35mm film, and digital and VHS video.
