Make a Feature-Length Film this Fall Semester!

Calling all CFA Majors! 

Join FILM 4545 and play a crucial role in the making of a faculty-led feature length film shot in SLC. All backgrounds welcome! 

This is an immersive work-based-learning experience with a focus on learning-by-doing. If you don’t have all the necessary skills at the time of enrollment, DO NOT WORRY! The goal of this course is to train you and help you gain the skills and vision required to successfully make a professional film. 

We are looking to build a team of experts who will serve as department heads and/or crew members in the making of this project lead by Sonia and Miriam Albert-Sobrino (@alsosisters). 

This Fall, we are particularly interested in filling the following positions: 

FILM AND MEDIA ARTS DEPARTMENT

  • Assistant Directors 

  • UPMs

  • Assistant Cameras 

  • Gaffer

  • Key Grip

  • Grips and Electrics

  • Sound Mixers

  • DIT or on set editors/colorists 

  • Storyboard Artists

DEPARTMENT OF THEATRE

  • Art Directors with interest in Scenography and Props Design & Construction, drafting and rendering

  • Costume Designers

  • Lighting Technicians 

  • Actors with interest in exploring Stage Combat, intimacy coordinating or shadowing a film actor

ART AND ART HISTORY DEPARTMENT

  • Still Photographers with interest in Digital Imaging 

  • Graphic Designers

SCHOOL OF DANCE

  • Choreographers

  • Movement Experts
